Used These For 2004 Toyota Tundra Cargo Lights

I got these to replace the two 921 incandescent bulbs in the 3rd brake light assembly that light up the bed of the truck. I did not like the yellowish bright light that the OEM bulbs put out and wanted LEDs that would not drain the battery as much since these come on every time you hit the key lock or open the door and stay on for about 20 seconds. I like the softer white light that these LEDs provide and they fit very nicely (they are only slightly longer than the bulbs they replaced). They are however significantly LESS bright than the original bulbs that they replaced, so if you are looking for MORE light in your cargo area look elsewhere. I wasn't getting them to add more light, just a more pleasant white light that would be more efficient on the battery and for that these do just what I wanted.

I have a '91 Explorer with a lighted hood (the light comes on when you open the hood). In the past, I've had work done where mechanics have removed the bulb out of fear of running down the battery. With these efficient LED bulbs, I get all the light of the regular bulb (more actually, as these are brighter), and I never have to worry about running down the battery if I need to leave the hood open for an extended period of time.

Prompt delivery

Was very impressed with the speed of delivery. Three days vs the 6-10 estimated. Product fit perfectly into my cargo lights on my Ford F-150 however I was a bit disappointed in the brightness, or lack thereof. The look is nice but for having the ability to see into a loaded cargo area at night they fall short. For me though, this is not a particularly big deal as I very rarely have much in my truck to need that and I always keep a mini-mag in my console anyway.
