5Heavy duty
By C. Bruce Richardson
I have a 3 inch X 30 foot tow strap for my 4WD 4Runner that I purchased through Amazon (Tuflex Strap 27-30 rated at 22,500 breaking strength). What I had trouble finding at the normal hardware stores was a large enough and strong enough D-Ring to attach the strap to the ring on the frame. This one appears to be very well made. The inside diameter of the ring is 2 inches. The exposed width of the pin is 1 3/8 inches. It is zinc coated and appears to have a black powder coat finish. Whatever the finish is, it is smooth and appears to be durable. I just ordered a second one. At $13.00 it is expensive. But when I get what I paid for, that's OK.

5Nice Quality, Smooth Finish
By B. Russell
This D-Ring is coated with a smooth black finish that works well with tow straps. Other rings with rougher finishes can nick/fray the straps. Gets the job done, well machined.

5Very pleased.
By Curtis Gomez
Used the tow ring with a tow strap to straighten a 25' tall tree, easily weighed a ton, that had been knocked 20 degrees over when a truck hit it. Straightened the tree right up and braced it. Good as new. Now I want try to find more stuff to pull.
