5Good Tarpaulin
By Truth Be Told
This is a good tarp for under $7 dollars. The tarp is thin but woven tightly together and the plastic is laminated. This means it provides excellent protection from rain and water. Although this tarp has UV protection, if you plan to use it in direct sunlight for a long period of time after some time it will begin to deteriorate. All in all I am happy with the tarp.

Edit: its been two months since I have had these outside in direct sun light and rain and they are still in great shape. I also bought a tarp from harbor freight at the same time and that has already started loosing color. So the uv protection on this tarp really does make a difference. I use these to cover my motorcycle and with all the rain we have been having here the bike has stayed dry. When the tarp finally begins to fall apart I will update my review.

Update: After 9 months of rain and sun the tarp has begun to deteriorate. It has be come brittle and rips easily. At the time I boug ht these they were $6.00 and well worth it. Now I see the price has doubled. My local home depot has the same size tarp but different maker for $8.00. So you might try your local home depot or lowes first it might be cheaper.

3It's a Tarp
By zug zug
There is nothing fancy about this tarp. They are not durable for extended usage in high winds or in hot sunny areas. They eyelits rip out in one winters use. I am using my tarp as portable shelter for camping trips... so Im really only using it to keep the rain off of me. If that is what you are looking for, then you cannot beat the price for this kind of tarp.

4A tarp is a tarp...
By Burkhale
The actual "finished" size of this tarp is 7'8" x 9'2". It feels thinner than tarps I have purchased elsewhere. but I'm only using it under a tent. The rope in the hem makes it a possible to use as a wind break / shelter if needed but I've never had a tarp in the past rip at the hem so I don't know if it's a plus or not. The hem and grommets were put together sloppily but it's functional. If used as a shelter, I wouldn't plan on it lasting very long, depending on how often it's used and the wind conditions.
