The Trimax UMAX100 coupler lock features an exclusive design that provides 360 degrees of hardened steel protection for your unattended trailer. It provides instant security for your camper, boat, or trailer when they are not hooked up to your vehicle. This lock features a huge 6-tooth, 3/8" dual ratchet locking system, a hardened 5/8" 16mm steel shackle, and 1/2-turn technology that cannot be false locked. For dual force security, add a Trimax chain or cable secured to an anchor point. Also, add a Trimax coupler lever lock for additional protection.

This lock is easy to install--simply slide the ball up into coupler and replace the U-shackle. The UMAX100 fits all of the following couplers and more: 1-7/8" or 2" Fulton, Atwood 2", UFP, Bulldog, 2-5/16" couplers, Fulton Heavy Duty, Surge Brake (reverse mount). Tested to be tough, Trimax offers a lifetime warranty on all of their products.

Sturdy looking - fits well - dissatisfied finding limited key variations

This lock fits the trailer well.
It is sturdy looking and should provide a small deterrent to casual opportunists.
However, the key series has very few variations and thus the lock's key is easily obtained.
These locks are also the same ones used on other locks (coupler pin, receiver pin, coupler lock) made by this company, so those keys will fit as well.
For the price, there should be less of a chance of someone (a thief) being able to obtain all of the (limited number of) keys possible for these locks and then using it to steal trailers.
Example: I ordered a receiver pin separately and received a lock with the same exact key as I already had for the coupler. What are the odds? They are high considering the limited number of variations.

Helps Your Trailer Stay Put!

The Tri Max Coupler Lock is simple in design and is easy to install and remove. I feel much better having this lock on my trailer, knowing that it would be difficult for a "bad guy" to attempt to remove it. My hope is a thief would move on to an easier target than a trailer with a coupler lock. Ive owned this Tri Max lock for 2 years and there's not a bit of rust or corrosion on it. Seems to be a quality product.

airstream safety

just bought a 28 foot airstream......parked at a 'u store it' place.......wanted to keep it secure from someone just hitching it up and driving off.......bought one type of lock and it didn't fit.....airstream hitches are a bit different in size (slightly bigger)...this lock worked perfectly....looks good.......came quickly..........and now i feel better about having the trailer out of our sight.....
